While Toyota announced the newly redesigned Supra would feature wireless Apple CarPlay, they did not mention if they were going to barrow from BMW’s playbook to charge owners an access fee for Apple CarPlay.

Besides the exterior design, the Toyota Supra at its core is pretty much a BMW BMW Z4. From the engine to the interior it’s all coming from BMW. It’s a safe bet that the infotainment system of the Supra will just be a reskinned version of the BMW ConnectedDrive system (which recently went down and left owners without access to CarPlay). With that being the case, new Supra owners should expect to pay $80 a year for Apple CarPlay access.
