Way back in 2012 Apple announced they would be replacing Google Maps on the iPhone with their own, Apple Maps. When Apple Maps was released to the public it was immediately received with negative feedback. The reaction to Apple Maps was so bad that Apple CEO Time Cook had to issue a public apology.
Fast forward to 2020 and Apple Maps has come a long way in its functionality and accuracy. Now they are updating the aesthetics to show increased details, including maps for select indoor locations. Check out the before and after look below:
