SiriusXM Radio Now Available For Apple CarPlay - Connected Car Life

The 32 million subscribers of SiriusXM can rejoice; they now will be able to use their satellite radio service with Apple CarPlay.  To get started all you need to do is download their app and the next time you start up CarPlay you’ll be able to access their radio stations and on demand content from the home screen just like you would use Spotify.

If your OEM stereo has a SiriusXM receiver already installed but is not Apple CarPlay compatible, there is a plethora of aftermarket options like the Pioneer AVH-3300NEX for single-din applications or the Pioneer AVH-4201NEX (includes a backup camera) for double-din applications. With SiriusXM being available on CarPlay means you don’t need to purchase a separate SiriusXM tuner, all of your music will be streamed though the internet connection on your iPhone.
