Adding to a more complete connected life experience, Mercedes-Benz has announced you can now integrate the connected home personal assistants from Google and Amazon into your daily driving routine.

For all 2016 and newer vehicles, using the Mercedes Me app and mbrace subscription, you can now link your connected car with your connected home. By pairing your Mercedes with either the Amazon Echo with Alexa or Google Home personal assistants, you can now control certain car features remote start and door lock/unlock from your home. All you need to say is, “Hey Alexa (or OK Google), tell Mercedes Me to start my car” all while you’re getting dressed for work. Other convenience features include the ability to turn on/off home appliances while you are driving.

Joining in on the connected car and home experience, other manufacturers like Ford and Hyundai have also announced they will be adding in Google Home or Amazon Alexa integrations as well.  For any 80’s TV show aficionados, you are now one step closer to realizing your dreams of being Knight Rider.
