Most likely stemming from Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s Beats/Apple Music connection, the Fiat Chrysler group is now going to offer six months for new users of Apple Music with any purchase of a CarPlay compatible Chrysler, Dodge, FIAT, Jeep or Ram vehicle. If you are already a subscriber, you will only get an extra three months of free service.
If you’re in the market for a new car this program will run from May 1, 2018 to April 30, 2019. Keep in mind, when you sign up for the trial you need to provide a credit card and will be automatically enrolled for a monthly subscription after the promotional period ends.
In related news, for the European market Volkswagen is also offering the same deal for new vehicle purchases of CarPlay enabled VW automobiles. With Apple Music having over 36 million subscribers, promotions like this will help them take the title of most popular music streaming service away from Spotify in the upcoming months.
