With a simple software update Ford is adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality to all 2016 models that have the SYNC 3 infotainment system. For the first time ever, Ford is offering the SYNC 3 update over Wi-Fi, so if you have a Wi-Fi enabled setup it will automatically download and install the update for you. If you don’t have Wi-Fi, you can take your car to a dealership to have them install it or you can download the update here to a USB drive and install it yourself.
