Android Auto to Display Text Messages While the Vehicle is Stopped - Connected Car Life

With the release of Android Auto v3.8, Google has turned on the ability to display text message previews on screen. While the main purpose of Android Auto is to allow people to keep their eyes on the road and not be distracted by their phones, being able to read text message on the car’s display is an often asked for feature.

Since there isn’t a lot of real estate on the screen, the message will only display around 50 characters or one sentence. Also one thing to note is that the preview will only display while the vehicle is stopped. Included in this update is a new layout for playing music. Utilizing larger album artwork and an easier to use interface people will be able to navigate through their music much easier.
