Android Auto to Allow Access to View Your Entire Contact List - Connected Car Life

In the past few weeks Google has been adding in some quality of life features to Android Auto, like unlocking your phone while using Android Auto. The most recent update will allow people to view their entire contact list. Previously when accessing contacts while using Android Auto it would only display your recently placed/received calls, missed calls and favorites.

So if you wanted to make a call Aunt Kathy to wish her a 70th birthday and she wasn’t on your recent calls, you would need to use a voice command to have Google Assistant make the call for you.

Now with this new update you will be able to scroll through your entire contact list, as long as your vehicle is stopped. If your vehicle is in motion your browsing will be restricted after a few taps to keep with the original intent of Android Auto, reduce distracted driving.
